Verify the live prompt first
Controls can be remapped, platform prompts differ, and updates can change an action. Use this page as an orientation guide, then open Settings and read the current binding. The official May 1, 2026 update confirms Xbox and PlayStation 5 support with basic controller support; PlayStation 4 was not listed. The September 17 anniversary update confirms full mobile support for the Reimagined map. Those notices establish platform support, not a permanent button chart.
Test controls in a quiet location. Make sure you can move, crouch, sprint, interact, reload, open inventory, open map, ping, holster, change fire mode, and leave a vehicle before traveling into a contested area.
Reported PC movement and combat
Current community documentation reports W/A/S/D for movement, Space for jump, C for crouch, Left Shift for sprint, and Right Shift for auto-run. The mouse is reported for aiming and attacks: left click interacts or fires/swings, while right click aims. R reloads, T changes fire mode, H toggles an attachment action, V holsters, and Q changes shoulder view.
Treat these as reported defaults, not guaranteed personal bindings. Open the keybind screen and verify each action. Attachment behavior depends on the equipped item. Fire-mode switching depends on the weapon. An interaction prompt can override a general action near doors, containers, bodies, or vehicles.
Inventory, map, and utility actions
Community references report Tab for inventory, M for map, I/O for map zoom, G for ping, B for binoculars, and F for flashlight or shove depending on context. Context matters enough that memorizing the letter without reading the prompt can cause mistakes.
The Beta release made map and compass standard and added map ping. Later ammunition updates added Spread Ammo, Unload Ammo, and improved internal-magazine interactions while removing older loading tools. Learn the visible inventory actions in the current build rather than following an old loading-tool tutorial.
Practice moving an item, spreading ammunition if available, unloading a weapon, and closing the inventory quickly. Inventory management leaves the character vulnerable.
Vehicle controls
Community documentation reports W/A/S/D for vehicle movement, L for lights, H for horn, and J/U for siren functions on vehicles that support them. Verify entry, exit, seat, storage, handbrake, lights, and engine interactions before committing to a road.
The August 2026 update changed vehicle storage transfer and handbrake behavior. This makes old videos unreliable for exact prompts. Test at low speed in open space. Know how to stop and exit without studying the interface.
Xbox and PlayStation 5
Use the in-game controller prompt as the only definitive mapping. Confirm movement, camera, aim, fire, reload, interact, stance, sprint, shoulder swap, inventory focus, map, ping, quick-use items, fire mode, attachments, and vehicle exit. If a function has no obvious button, inspect Settings and the contextual prompt instead of guessing.
Controller layouts may use hold, tap, or radial behavior that a PC key chart cannot show. Test each action while unthreatened. If remapping is available, avoid conflicts between interact, reload, and inventory. Save the layout and confirm the prompts updated.
Mobile controls
Mobile layouts depend on screen size, interface, and map support. The official anniversary note specifically confirms full mobile support for Reimagined. Verify that movement, camera, aim, fire, interact, crouch, sprint, reload, inventory, map, ping, and vehicle actions are visible and reachable.
Adjust interface or sensitivity only when it improves reliable control. Test inventory behavior and close buttons. An action that works while standing still may be difficult while aiming, so practice combined movement and camera input.
A safe control drill
- Walk, sprint, stop, crouch, jump, and change camera shoulder.
- Open and close inventory; move one expendable item.
- Open the map, zoom, place a ping, and return to movement.
- Equip a melee weapon, holster it, and read the attack prompt.
- Inspect a supported firearm’s loaded state, aim, reload, and fire mode.
- Toggle one compatible attachment and confirm the result visually.
- Enter a safe vehicle, check seat/storage, move slowly, stop, and exit.
If any action is unclear, solve it before joining a fight. This drill reveals conflicts and platform differences with little risk.
Troubleshooting inputs
If a control does nothing, check focus first: a menu, chat box, inventory panel, or interaction prompt may own the input. Confirm the item supports the action, then inspect keybinds. Reconnect after changing settings if prompts do not update. For controllers, check Roblox and system mapping. For mobile, reset the interface only through supported settings.
Do not install a third-party macro, remapper, or executable merely to copy someone else’s setup. Use supported settings and ordinary device configuration.
Verification status
PC keys above are community-reported and many are remappable. Console and mobile support are officially confirmed, but exact bindings require platform testing. Inventory and vehicle actions are especially update-sensitive. Last reviewed September 18, 2026; the live Settings screen and on-screen prompt are final.
